In the summer of course, dominated the classic sports like hiking, mountaineering, climbing or mountain biking in the National Park Berchtesgaden. Countless hiking trails lead into the heart of the National Park and for mountain bikers there are beautiful paths and tracks in the most varied degrees of difficulty. Especially in recent years, many new climbing routes and very well secured climbing areas, as well as an excellently secured via ferrata at Unterberg was created. However, rafting, canyoning and several high rope courses offer superb variety.

The most beautiful hiking trails and destinations are right on our doorstep, e.g. to the Grünstein, the Watzmannhaus or the Kührointalm.

Winter sports
Winter sports in Berchtesgaden are characterised by smaller family ski areas such as Götschen in Bischofswiesen and Roßfeld in Berchtesgaden. Tobogganing is also possible on various routes with different lengths and levels of difficulty. A new toboggan run has been opened on the Jenner.
The mountain world of the Berchtesgaden National Park is also a popular ski touring area in winter with very challenging touring options.

Cross-country skiing in Berchtesgaden and Schönau am Königssee. Cross-country trails right on the doorstep.
The various communities also offer a large network of cross-country ski trails and, with the Scharitzkehlalm, a cross-country ski trail area with guaranteed snow.
The ski areas at Götschen and Roßfeld can be reached by car in 20 minutes.
